After decades of ownership and stewardship, the family owners made the thoughtful decision to retire. The community had been in the family for 75 years, so it was a tough decision. With a deep sense of responsibility to their staff, residents, and the community, they were highly selective in identifying the right successor—seeking not just a buyer, but a values-aligned organization committed to preserving the campus’s stellar reputation and culture of care.

Senwell ran a robust marketing process that generated eight qualified offers. After careful evaluation, the seller and Senwell chose a mission-driven, non-profit CCRC operator from Indiana known for its strong track record and like-minded philosophy of care. The buyer’s alignment in values, operational standards, and resident-first focus made them an ideal fit to carry Elizabeth Scott Community into its next chapter.

Senwell supported the seller throughout a detailed diligence process involving multiple advisors, attorneys, and banking partners. In the final stretch, Senwell also helped navigate a local inspection requirement critical to closing—ensuring the transaction remained on track.

This transition reflects the culmination of decades of dedication by the Elizabeth Scott leadership team and the beginning of a new era led by an operator equally committed to excellence.
