Senwell Senior Investment Advisors is proud to announce the successful transfer of 48 skilled nursing bed licenses in Lucas County, Ohio. The transaction stemmed from a health system’s decision to close its skilled nursing facility and repurpose the building for an alternative use. Senwell was engaged to identify qualified buyers and facilitate the orderly transfer of the licenses.
The licenses were acquired by two separate regional operators. One operator retained the beds within Lucas County to expand their existing skilled nursing services, while the second buyer transferred the licenses to a neighboring county as part of their broader growth strategy. In both cases, the licenses were converted from assisted living to skilled nursing designation, aligning with each buyer’s focus on meeting increasing demand for high-acuity care.
Senwell’s deep understanding of bed license transfer protocols and its strong relationships across the state were critical in bringing this transaction to completion. The deal highlights Senwell’s ongoing commitment to helping healthcare providers adapt and grow in a changing care environment.
Ben Bohland and Collin Hempfling facilitated the transaction.
